Eating out is one of our favorite bonding moments. Bimonthly, we try different restaurants and taste different kinds of food. As a busy mama, this is also my day-off from washing the dishes.
Our Budget-Friendly Japanese Food Experience at Kyu Kyu Ramen, SM City Molino
If you're a ramen lover like us and always on the hunt for budget-friendly yet satisfying Japanese food, you've probably seen the eye-catching sign at Kyu Kyu Ramen, SM City Molino. Big and bold, their P99 Ramen ad immediately piqued our interest. So, on a recent trip to the mall, we decided to find out for ourselves--is it really worth the hype?
First Impression: Japanese Street-Style Vibes
The restaurant exudes a minimalist Japanese street-style dining atmosphere. Think high stools, lean tables, and an intimate setting that brings a touch of Tokyo ramen bars to Cavite. It's no-frills but comfortable--perfect for a quick satisfying bite.

What's on the Menu?
Kyu Kyu Ramen offers 12 food items, with ramen as the main star. Here's what we tried during our visit:
Ichiban Ramen
Spicy Ichiban Ramen
Cheesy Ramen
Chasu Don
Gyoza (Japanese dumplings)
Red Iced Tea (sold separately)
Most of their meals are less than P200, though some premium dishes are slightly higher. Drinks and side dishes are also reasonably priced.

Family-Friendly and Budget-Approved
There were seven of us dining that day--including two senior citizens. Our total bill was P2,041, but with senior discount, it dropped to P1,842.72. That's just over P260 per person--a great deal considering we had multiple dishes!
Service that's Quick and Friendly
Despite our big group and multiple orders, the service was impressively fast. Within minutes, our meals were ready for pickup at the counter. Since we had a lot to carry, we asked for help--and the staff was more than willing to assist us with a smile.
Was it Worth it?
If you're looking for a quick ramen fix, this place is for you. Our tummies were just right -- not too full, not to hungry. It's a great place to dine without burning a hold in your wallet. Plus, the Japanese feels cozy vibe and efficient service made our visit even more enjoyable.
